When
learning to surf it is best to start off in small, slow peeling waves. The wave
should not be very big and not have a steep front this makes getting up hard if
the wave is steep. If the wave is peeling to fast the surfer will be caught in
the white-water and cause them to fall off. So find a nice spot away from
experienced surfers and keep trying you won’t get is straight away. Dont give up!

Here are some helpful tips when learning to surf:
It doesn't matter about what the shape the board is as when you start off surfing as you should be focusing on standing up not doing manoeuvres and tricks.
The board should be long and have a lot of flotation.
Some examples for boards that would suit beginners are:
Foam boards are ok but you will have to upgrade eventually. They have flexible fins and a soft material. So if you fall off you cannot get fins slashed or knocked out by the hard surfboard. a good brand of foam boards are softlite.

7S Superfish review
The 7S Superfish is a great board for any
level of surfer. The Superfish was my first Fiberglass board it is 6'0'' long. This
was a good size for me as I was only 14 when I got it and was not very tall. I
have been riding this board for about 3 years now and been enjoying every
minute of it. I love how you can change the fin set ups.
The board has provided me with a great start to the sport of surfing
and I will continue to use this board for years to come. I
would recommend any surfing to buy this board as it comes in a range of sizes
from 5’9’’ to 8’0’’. This would almost suit anyone.
